Seahawks at Bills – Seahawks win 38-27
The Seahawks offense is too dominant, and Russell Wilson is the favorite for MVP. Mix that in with how poorly the Bills defense is playing and I don’t see how the Bills will be able to slow down the Seahawks. Seahawks win a shoot-out.
Ravens at Colts – Ravens win 24-20
I’d like to be optimistic and say the Colts pull this one out, but I think the Ravens narrowly squeak by. The Colts will be without TY Hilton, and the Ravens will stack the box and force Rivers to beat them. I see old man Rivers throwing a couple bad interceptions leading to some Baltimore points. Colts defense keeps it close but Ravens pull it out.
Broncos at Falcons – Broncos win 34-30
A toss up game, I can see either team winning but I’ll give the advantage to the Broncos with Calvin Ridley being out for the Falcons. Neither team has a great defense so I expect points to be scored. This game will be close but I think the Falcons choke again late and the Broncos win.
Texans at Jaguars – Texans win 31-10
Jaguars are starting some guy by the name of Jake Luton at quarterback. If the Texans can’t win this game, something’s up. I think the Texans score early and often and this game is over by the second quarter.
Panthers at Chiefs – Chiefs win 35-20
The Panthers are getting Christian McCaffrey back, but unfortunately they’re going against the best team in football. Panthers don’t have the offense to keep up with the Chiefs, and they certainly don’t have the defense to slow them down. Mahomes has a monster game and the Chiefs roll.
Lions at Vikings – Vikings win 28-24
Assuming Matthew Stafford comes off the COVID list and plays this game, I see this game being close, but I’ll give the edge to the Vikings due to Dalvin Cook. They clearly found something against Green Bay last week, and I believe they’ll lean on Cook and the running game again and win a close one.
Bears at Titans – Titans win 20-13
I expect this game to be low scoring and ugly. The Bears defense is playing very well, and should be able to slow down Henry and the Titans offense. Problem for the Bears is their offense probably wouldn’t be able to score on a high school defense. Titans pull out an ugly win to remain in first in the AFC South.
Giants at Washington – Washington wins 17-14
The first game between these two teams was sloppy, and I don’t expect anything different in this one. Both offenses aren’t very good, but both teams have decent defenses. I favor Washington due to their defensive line. I think they get constant pressure on Jones and force him into a few bad turnovers.
Raiders at Chargers – Chargers win 31-28
I don’t why I am picking the Chargers after the leads they consistently blow but here I am picking them. Justin Herbert is one of the great stories of the NFL season so far and I think he scores enough the Raiders defense to win this one. I’m not believers in the Raiders just yet so I’ll lean towards LA in this one.
Dolphins at Cardinals – Cardinals win 34-24
Tua won in his first NFL start last week, but it was mainly due to the Miami defense. I don’t think he’ll have as much luck against the number one ranked offense in the NFL in Arizona. I think Kyler’s legs are too much for the Miami defense and the Cardinals win this one handily.
Steelers at Cowboys – Steelers win 38-10 (Lock of the Week)
My lock of the week is an obvious one. Dallas is going to be starting either Garrett Gilbert or Cooper Rush at quarterback. What a rough first game in the NFL for a young quarterback against a defense like Pittsburgh’s. I think this game is over halfway through the first quarter.
Saints at Buccaneers – Saints win 27-24
While everyone is talking about the return of Antonio Brown, the biggest factor in this game will be the return of Michael Thomas. Thomas is set to return for his first game since week 1, and it’ll make all the difference in the world. I see the Saints offense getting back into rhythm, and their defense slowing down Brown and Brady. Saints win in what will be the game of the week.
Patriots at Jets – Patriots win 17-13
In a game that no one will watch, the Pats will barely win because the Jets are the Jets. I think Cam will have a decent game rushing and the Patriots defense will be able to slow down the Jets offense. There has to be something better on TV to watch on Monday besides this game.
